Governance and risk management
Risk management, strategy, indicators, and targets as well as the management of their progress, in relation to human capital and diversity, are discussed, reviewed, and reported within the Sustainability Committee. The results are then resolved after discussion, review and reporting at the Board of Directors’ meeting.
With regard to the specific process of human capital-risk management, the risks and opportunities are first identified by the Human Resources Department and the Human Resource Development Department under the Administration Division, with support for initiatives provided by the CSR Department under the Sustainability Promotion Division. The Human Resources Department and the Human Resource Development Department work together with the administrative departments of each Group company to collect data on human capital, verify the impact of the risks and opportunities identified as well as the response status, review the response strategy, and report the outcomes of these activities to the Corporate Planning Office, which serves as the general risk management division. This information is incorporated into the overall risk management. The integrated information is reported by the Corporate Planning Office to the Sustainability Committee where the information is shared across the entire Group, and the review of the response strategy and initiatives are promoted.
The discussions at the Sustainability Committee are reported to the Board of Directors, based on which the Board of Directors makes a decision on the final response policy, and supervises the Sustainability Committee which monitors the promotion and progress status.
