K’S HOLDINGS CORPORATION (the “Company”) recognizes the appropriate handling of customers’ personal information as a social responsibility in its business operations. We have established the following Personal Information Protection Policy (the “Policy”) and will handle personal information appropriately in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (“Personal Information Protection Act”), government guidelines, and other standards. We are committed to ensuring the safety management of personal information and will continuously improve our personal information protection management system.

  1. The Company will collect only the minimum necessary personal information about customers, as required for business purposes, using appropriate methods in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and other relevant laws and regulations. During phone interactions with customers, we may record calls to accurately understand the details of inquiries and to improve our services in the future.
  2. The Company will clearly define the purposes of use and will appropriately acquire, use, and provide personal information. The Company will use collected personal information only within the scope of its intended purposes and will implement measures to prevent any use beyond those purposes. The purposes of use will be disclosed on our website along with the Policy and will also be posted at our stores.

To ensure the safe and accurate management of personal information, all officers and employees will be made aware of the importance of personal information protection, and the Company will strive to handle it appropriately.   11. To contact customers who win or inquire about various contests held by the Company.
  12. To prevent crime and verify transactions involving money or products using surveillance camera footage.
  13. To respond to inquiries and consultations from customers and business partners and maintain communication.

2. Safety management measures for personal information

The Company implements necessary and appropriate safety management measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information. Additionally, we provide necessary and appropriate oversight to departments handling personal information and to contractors (including subcontractors).

To ensure the proper handling of personal information, we have established this policy in compliance with relevant laws and guidelines, and to address inquiries and complaints.

We have developed the Detailed Regulations on the Handling of Personal Information that outline handling methods, responsible persons, and their duties for each stage: acquisition, use, storage, provision, and deletion/disposal of personal information.

<Organizational safety management measures>

We designate a Practical Supervisor and an Overall Supervisor for the handling of personal information, clarify the employees who handle personal information and the scope of personal information handled by them, and establish a reporting system for informing the Overall Supervisor in case of violations or signs of non-compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act or the Detailed Regulations on the Handling of Personal Information.
We conduct regular self-assessments and audits by the audit department to monitor personal information handling.

Regular training is provided to employees regarding the handling of personal information.
Confidentiality provisions related to personal information are included in the Company’s employment regulations.

7. Personal information disclosure

When the Company receives a request for disclosure, etc. (e.g., notification of purposes of use; disclosure; correction, addition, or deletion of details; cessation of use, deletion, or cessation of provision to third parties) of personal information or records of third-party provision it holds, it promptly responds after confirming the customer’s identity according to the prescribed procedure.
Requests for disclosure and other actions related to personal information are accepted either by visiting a K’s Denki store or by mail.
In the case of visiting a store, please fill out the required information on our designated Disclosure Request Form. To confirm that the request is made by the individual themselves, please present a public identification document (such as a driver’s license or Individual Number Card).
For postal requests, please send the completed Disclosure Request Form along with a copy of a public identification document proving the identity of the requester (in the case of a request by an agent, also submit a Disclosure Request Form Power of Attorney). If the response is to be sent by postal mail, a fee of 434 yen (basic fee of 84 yen + simple registered mail fee of 350 yen) will be required.
Furthermore, the personal information obtained through the process of requesting disclosure, etc., will only be handled within the scope necessary for responding to the request for disclosure, etc.
